One of France's most modern and well-equipped airports, Lyon Saint Exupery Airport (LYS) is situated 24 km / 15 miles east of Lyon city centre, close to Azieu, Janneyrias, La Plaine, Saint Laurent-de-Mure and Saugnieu. The airport provides convenient access to the popular and beautiful Rhone Alps region of France, with a flow of almost 8.5 million travellers per annum.

Visitors will find two twin-level terminals at Lyon Saint Exupery Airport, which are joined by a central building, or connecting hall. The distance between these facilities can easily be covered on foot. The two terminals and the long-term car park are also all linked by a free shuttle bus service, although a new fast tram line will soon be completed and link the very heart of Lyon city itself.


There are several ground transportation options connecting Saint Exupery Airport with Lyon, nearby cities and surrounding areas of the Rhone Alps. Trains, Satobus shuttles, taxis and limousines are all offered for your convenience. Saint Exupery Airport stands next to the A432 and N346 freeways to Lyon, and visitors wishing to hire a car will find several car rental agencies on offer at the airport.
